Silence

People want to leave something behind, something valuable. But what if, from nature’s perspective, such a thing as value does not exist? Only humans seek to change things, to leave a mark. Our society has been growing for millennia, becoming increasingly complex and efficient. Yet the value we create has meaning only within our human interpretation; in nature, in the universe, the concept of value is merely a fiction.

We have grown too accustomed to the human perspective. Nature does not function this way. In nature, there are no human-made concepts, ideas, morality, or notions of good and bad. In nature, everything simply exists. Nothing strives to be better or more, to evolve — it merely persists and changes. Our culture is just a small ripple in the infinite story of the universe. It may be loud now, but over time it will dissolve, leaving no trace, into the silent and dignified silence of nature.
